Works employees
do for our Village and for our residents. There
is also plenty of behind-the-scenes work that helps
make the Village of Hammond the livable, progressive
Village it is.
Residents of the Village of
Hammond can count on Public Works employees
to do their jobs well. Simply put, they make
our Village work by tending to our infrastructure
needs and improving our surroundings. Public
Works employees focus on the safety, cleanliness
and smooth function of our streets, sewers, water
production, parks, buildings and much more.
Presently, the Public Works Department has four
full-time employees. Normal hours of operation
are from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through
Friday.
The Public Works Department
is located at:
1630 Thayer Street
Hammond, WI 54015
If you have any questions or
concerns, please contact Public Works at (715)796-5572. |

Parks
A new multi-use area has been added to Village Park and includes basketball,
tennis and an ice skating rink. Two picnics pavilions have recently been built
in the village park located on Klein Drive. They are
each equipped with two picnic tables and a charcoal
grill. One is located between the front and
back ball fields, and the other is located
at the top of the sliding hill. Plans to have paths
connecting these to a single path through the park
will be addressed in the future.
